preparing for day 4

The more I read Wittgenstein, the more I realize he was trying to do something that Semiology (e.g.  de Saussure) were already working on : understand the mechanisms of our cultural patterns and how we (can) use them.

This phase of European Modernism has often been criticized as a result of the (Western) European-dominated colonial era, the meeting with other cultures, and a slow becoming aware of how one's own ways may not be the only ones desirable. Given the wars fought about even 'just' Protestantism, peasant uprisings, around the same time that this imperialist "New Age" had begun, the slowness may seem startling, but just one look at European right-wing (conservative-imitating) populism clearly shows that there is still much to learn, on an ever broader scale of popupations.

it became clear that release is not only certain "lines", and just one end: it is crucial what kinds of connections are being created, again not just linear, but overall, organic, energetic, how fully.

day 2 of 5: more [personality]

yesterday pondering about Gaia (Greek deity as well as later a hypothesis and imaginary planet in a Science Fiction universe, where humans started to share their consciousness with each other, and came to realize they needed to include every life-form, as well as the 'non'-living parts in this consciousness) - cellular awareness bringing us on the same level as the first bacterial and viral forms of life on this planet, which we still can empathise with.

hartelijk welkom op deze blog!

hier zullen gedachten, uitkomsten etc. worden gepost over het project Wittgenstein waarin de centrale vraag is :

als waar men niet over kan spreken gezwegen dient te worden*
is het mogelijk om erover te dansen? 

(* gebaseerd op de slotzin uit de Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus, 1921)

dit lijkt mischien op het eerste gezicht wat baldadig maar de achtergrond is serieus: beweging als actieviteit, inter-actie en communicatie heeft een eigen toestand, eigen mogelijkheden. en als het mogelijk is om hier een aanvullende manier van waar-nemen, tasten, begrijpen te onderzoeken, dan zal dit hier worden gepoogd.

de serie is voor de komende 5 donderdagen, 4 juni t/m 2 juli, elke keer om 12.00 uur
elke keer zal anders zijn, een onderzoek dat live gebeurt, niet een presentatie van wat al helder is en duidelijk, maar juist zoekend. soms zal het lijken alsof er niets gebeurt. soms moet het experiment worden afgebroken. kom voor het avontuur! ...

op donderdag avond 9 juli komt er om 20.00 uur een na-bespreking over dit project in de Leeszaal West, Rijnhoutplein Rotterdam.


tenslotte, maar niet de minste:
Ludwig Wittgenstein had een nogal gepassioneerd en heftig leven, waarbij hij alsmaar geplaagd werd door vijandigheid tegen zijn homoseksualiteit, een vijandigheid die hij deels internaliseerde. Nog steeds wordt erover gezwegen, alsof dit bij een filosoof niet zou passen.

voor mij als mede-homoseksueel, 100 jaar later, geeft dit een extra vraag: tot hoeverre zou in deze serie duidelijk worden of geleefde homoseksualiteit, netzoals beweging een extra inzicht kunnen geven in dit project?
